Step 1: Check if a record already exists

• Enter the CNIC of the person the household is registered under, not a different family member.

Step 2: If no record exists — the NSER survey

Households without an existing record need an NSER survey visit, either through a scheduled registration drive in your union council or by visiting a BISP tehsil office to request one. An authorized enumerator or desk officer records household income, assets, and family composition; this data generates the PMT score that determines eligibility, so answer every question accurately rather than guessing at an outcome.

Step 3: If details changed — request an update, not a new survey

Marriage, a new child, a change of address, or a household member's death are common reasons to request an NSER update rather than a full new survey. Bring the relevant certificate (marriage, birth, or death) along with CNICs to the tehsil office and ask specifically for a household-update request, since this is a distinct process from first-time registration.

What registration does not require
